Women In Ag Day

Andrea Vaubel, Deputy Commissioner, Minnesota Department of Agriculture, read a proclamation from Governor Walz declaring it Women in Agriculture Day Senator Mary Kunesh & Senator Heather Gustafson gave opening statements on the importance of recognizing Women in Agriculture The following individuals testified on Women In Ag Day: Susanne Hinrichs, University of Minnesota Extension Amy Johnston, University of Minnesota Extension Lauren Biegler, Biegler Farms Tiffany Farrier, Kandi Acres Farm Cherilyn Spears, Director of Agriculture, Red Lake Nation Debbie Morrison, Sapsucker Farms Rachel Gray, Little Timber Farms Kathy Hupf, Deann Lufkin, & Jackie Ohmann; CannonBelles Cheese, Coffee, and Ice Cream Lillian Otieno, Director, Emerging Farmers Office Senator Judy Seeberger

S.F. 4782: Senator Port: Cannabis provisions modifications and appropriations.

The following individuals testified on S.F.4782: Charlene Briner, Interim Director, Office of Cannabis Management Nicole Flick, Owner, Chill CBD & THC Angela Dawson, 40 Acre Cooperative Andrea Vaubel, Deputy Commissioner, MN Dept. of Agriculture Senator Dahms moved that SF 4782 be tabled Senator Westrom requested a roll call vote for the adoption of Senator Dahms motion to table SF 4782. 4/5 (Ayes: Westrom, Anderson, Dahms, Dornink; Nays: Putnam, Kupec, Gustafson, Kunesh, Seeberger) MOTION FAILED

Senator Kupec moved that S.F. 4782, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the State and Local Government and Veterans Committee. - MOTION PREVAILED.
