Call to Order


S.F. 1197: Senator Hauschild: School district seasonal tax base replacement aid establishment.

The following individuals testified on S.F.1197: Carol Copp, Grand Rapids Educator Anna Oelke, Superintendent, ISD 696 Ely Public Schools (Remote) Gina Kleive, Superintendent, ISD 381 Lake Superior School District

Senator Kunesh moved that S.F. 1197, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Taxes Committee. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 1198: Senator Hauschild: Roof projects authorization as part of the long-term facilities maintenance program.

The following individuals testified on S.F.1198: Jason Splett, ICS Consulting Seth Putz, Facilities Director, St. Peter Public Schools Ryan Laager, Superintendent, Belle Plaine Tina Burkholder, Director of Business Services, Monticello Public Schools

Be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

S.F. 523: Senator Farnsworth: Historic school building preservation grants appropriation.

Senator Farnsworth moves the A-1 amendment - motion prevailed. The following individuals testified on S.F.0523: Richard Aldrich, Superintendent, Hibbing Public Schools (Remote) Bob Kearney, Historian, Tour Guide and Retired Custodian, Hibbing High School (Remote)

Be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

S.F. 1460: Senator Maye Quade: School district to reauthorize a capital projects referendum by board action authorization.

The following individuals testified on S.F.1460: Anna Williams, Board Vice Chairman, ISD 196, Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District Janet Swiecichowski, Director of Communications, ISD196, Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District Tina Burkholder, Director of Business Services, Monticello Public Schools Senator Kreun offered the A-2 amendment. Senator Maye Quade moved an oral amendment to the A-2 Page 1, line 4 after "school board" insert ", after holding a meeting and allowing public testimony on the proposed renewal." MOTION PREVAILED A-2 as amended adopted.

As amended, laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

S.F. 2244: Senator Kupec: Referendum levy equalizing factors increase provision and appropriation.
