S.F. 1581: Senator Pappas: Nonstate funding application for implementation of the Capitol Mall Design Framework.

Testifier: Erik Dahl - Executive Secretary, Capitol Area Architectural and Planning Board Vice Chair Maye Quade moved the A2 amendment. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Senator Gustafson moved that S.F. 1581, as amended, recommended to pass and re-referred to the Finance Committee. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 1754: Senator Pappas: Certain state-owned land in the Cloquet Forestry Center transferal to the University of Minnesota.

Testifiers: Bruce Savage - Chairman, Fond du Lac Alice Roberts-Davis - Vice President of University Services, University of Minnesota Rick Horton - Executive Vice President, Minnesota Forest Industries Leslie Kreuger - Assistant Vice Present of Planning, Space and Real Estate, University of Minnesota Senator Carlson moved the A1 amendment. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted. Senator Eichhorn moved that SF 1754, as amended, be re-referred to the Environment, Climate, and Legacy Committee. Senator Drazkowski requested a division on the motion that SF 1754, as amended, be re-referred to the Environment, Climate, and Legacy Committee. There being 5 ayes, and 7 nays, the MOTION FAILED. Senator Carlson moved that S.F. 1754, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Capital Investment Committee. Senator Bahr requested a roll call vote on the motion that SF 1754, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Capital Investment Committee. 7/5 (Ayes: Xiong, Gustafson, Maye Quade, Carlson, Cwodzinski, Fateh, Johnson Stewart; Nays: Lang, Bahr, Drazkowski, Eichorn, Koran). MOTION PREVAILED.

Senator Carlson moved that S.F. 1754, as amended, recommended to pass and re-referred to the Capital Investment Committee. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 1108: Senator Gruenhagen: City of Stewart 2023 aid penalty forgiveness provision and appropriation.



Senator Cwodzinski moved that S.F. 1108, be referred to the Taxes Committee without recommendation. - MOTION PREVAILED.
