Scope of hearing To ask questions, gather information, and take testimony on the pattern of anti-Israel and anti-Jewish incidents at the University of Minnesota and the U administration’s handling of these incidents, including issues relating to the Minnesota Human Rights Act, the state’s anti-BDS statute, 1st Amendment freedom of speech protections, academic freedom, and public safety and security of Jewish students and faculty, as they have arisen since October 7, 2023.

Attendance information for members of the public There is dedicated space in the hearing room for testifiers and media. For members of the public, there is additional limited seating available, and admittance will be on a first come first served basis. No signs, banners, or other similar paraphernalia is allowed in the hearing room. Bags and backpacks may be subject to search. By attending the hearing, individuals agree to adhere to committee decorum set forth by the Senate. Clapping, booing, commentary, or any other disruptive behavior is not allowed.
