Other Funds
Section 1 [2019 ACHF Appropriations Extension] extends the availability of 2019 appropriations from the arts and cultural heritage fund by two years. Affected appropriations will now expire on June 30, 2022, instead of June 30, 2020.
Section 2 [2020 ACHF Appropriations Extension/Flexibility for Grantees] extends the availability of 2020 appropriations from the arts and cultural heritage fund by one year. Affected appropriations will now expire on June 30, 2022, instead of June 30, 2021.
Additionally, to the extent permitted by the constitution, authorizes 2020 and 2021 arts and cultural heritage fund appropriations to be used to assist grantees to maintain their financial sustainability and long-term viability during the COVID-related peacetime emergency.
Section 3 [Technical Correction to Appropriation] corrects a 2021 arts and cultural heritage fund appropriation to reflect the fact that the Children’s Museum of Rochester recently became a separate entity from the Minnesota Children’s Museum.
Section 4 [Arts Board Relocation Appropriation Extension] extends by one year the availability of a 2020 general fund appropriation for moving and relocation of the State Board of the Arts. The appropriation will now expire on June 30, 2021, instead of June 30, 2020.
Section 5 [Extension of Expiring Appropriations from Other Legacy Funds] extends the availability of expiring appropriations from the clean water fund and the parks and trails fund by one year. Affected appropriations will now expire on June 30, 2021, instead of June 30, 2020.
Section 6 [Medal of Honor Appropriation] appropriates $250,000 from the arts and cultural heritage fund to the Medal of Honor account to complete design and construction of a memorial in the Capitol area to honor all Minnesota Medal of Honor recipients. This appropriation replaces a previous appropriation that canceled.
