SF 3700 modifies the existing and ongoing customized living quality improvement grant program by making certain providers of customized living service under the brain injury (BI) and community access for disability inclusion (CADI) waivers eligible grant recipients. Under current law, only providers of customized living services under the elderly waiver are eligible of the quality improvement grants.
Section 1 (Laws 2019, First Special Session chapter 9, article 4, section 28, paragraph (a)) includes certain providers of customized living under the BI and CADI waivers as eligible grant recipients of customized living quality improvement grants.
New paragraph (b) specifies that beginning with the next round of grant applications in state fiscal year 2022, a customized living provider must serve at least 75 waiver participants and at least 75 percent of the provider's clients must be waiver participants. This new paragraph also specifies that clients of providers of customized living services under the BI or CADI waiver only count toward the required number and percentage of waiver clients if the client is receiving services in settings with six or more residents.
Sections 2 and 3 are a revisor's instruction to codify the ongoing customized living quality improvement grants in statute and conforming changes to the existing appropriation.
