Section 1. Solar energy incentive program. Amends the statute governing Xcel’s “Solar Rewards” program by adding an additional year (“ninth year”) of funding for the program in the amount of $5 million and increasing the amount for the program allocation in years six through eight from $10 million to $15 million for each of those years. Changes the type of current allowed when calculating the aggregate nameplate capacity from “direct” to “alternating,” which has the effect of allowing slightly larger systems to be installed under the program.
