SF 1939 increases the LGA appropriation by $15 million to $549.4 million beginning with aids payable in 2020. The increased appropriation is directed exclusively to cities under 5,000 population by calculating the aid gap percentage for those cities using the increased appropriation level and holding the aid gap percentage constant for all other cities.
Effective beginning with aids payable in calendar year 2020.
