SF 1747 reduces appropriations for the biennium ending June 30, 2021, for employment positions posted but not filled within 180 days in fiscal years 2019, 2020, and 2021. The reductions are reflected in base budgets for fiscal years 2022 and 2023. These reductions will not be made for unfilled positions that require law enforcement training or are in public safety. The commissioner of management and budget must report to the legislature on the amount of the reductions by agency.
