S.F. No. 266 - Modifying Definition of Veteran

Author: Senator Jerry Newton

Prepared By: Joan White, Senate Counsel (651/296-3814)

Date: February 18, 2019

S.F. No. 266 amends the Minnesota GI Bill Program, specifically the definitions, by striking the definition of “time of hostilities” and simplifying the definition of “veteran” by striking language that references “time of hostilities,” leaving only the cross-reference to the definition of veteran in Minnesota Statutes, section 197.447.
