1.3    "Sec. 21. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 16B.97, is amended by adding a subdivision
1.4to read:
1.5    Subd. 6. Grants management training. (a) The commissioner must develop an online,
1.6on-demand grants management training program for state agency staff. At a minimum, the
1.7training must:
1.8(1) include curriculum necessary for grants management managers and supervisors to
1.9properly and effectively manage a grants management program and for employees to
1.10effectively perform job duties;
1.11(2) include instruction on the state's grants management policies;
1.12(3) include instruction on fraud indicators; and
1.13(4) require an exam that demonstrates an understanding of the skills, knowledge, and
1.14responsibilities presented in the training.
1.15(b) All state agency staff assigned grant management responsibilities must complete
1.16initial grants management training before assuming grants management job duties and must
1.17complete continuing grants management training on an annual basis."
1.18Renumber the sections in sequence and correct the internal references
1.19Amend the title accordingly
