Section 1. School Facilities Improvement Revenue. Establishes a new school facilities improvement revenue program. Defines the allowable uses for school improvement revenue. Provides that school facilities improvement revenue for a school district equals $212/pupil; authorizes an additional $65/pupil for intermediate district members. Equalizes the revenue at 125% of the state average adjusted net tax capacity (ANTC) per adjusted pupil unit (APU). Requires that districts choose between generating school facilities improvement revenue or building lease levy for each fiscal year. Makes this section effective for fiscal year 2020 and later.
