S.F. 3262 permits counties and cities to do the following:
- designate itself as a Purple Heart County or a Purple Heart City;
- reserve parking space for a Purple Heart recipient;
- accept donations to pay for a sign and plaque publicizing the Purple Heart status of the city or county; and
- proclaiming August 7 as Purple Heart Day.
