Section 1 provides that boats are vehicles for purposes of this clause authorizing statutory lines insurance business to be transacted to insure against loss or damage to vehicles or liability due to collision with vehicles.

Section 2 provides that notice of nonrenewal at least 60 days before expiration of a policy is not required if the policyholder is transferred to an affiliate, provided that the affiliate complies with section 60A.351.

Section 3 prohibits a person pleading guilty to insurance fraud or convicted or pleading guilty to any federal or state law criminalizing fraud related to no fault auto insurance from enforcing a contract for payment of medical services eligible for reimbursement against an insured.

Section 4 allows an insurance company to offer a discount to a member in a specified affinity program under a policy issued under section 60A.06, subdivision 1, clause 12 (see section 1 of the bill) or a commercial policy defined by the commissioner in rule.
