S.F. 2953 permits the county veteran’s service officer and the county assessor to exchange information to determine eligibility for and administer the disabled veteran’s homestead market value exclusions.

Section 1 authorizes the county veterans service officer to disclose private data to the county assessor as necessary to determine an applicant’s eligibility for the disabled veteran’s homestead market value exclusion.

Section 2 authorizes the county assessor to disclose private data to the county veterans service officer for the purpose of determining an applicant’s eligibility for the disabled veteran’s homestead market value exclusion.

Effective date. Both sections are effective the day following final enactment.
